Christmas Musical Mayhem!

A fantastic colourful Show which takes many well known songs from Musicals and gives them an unusual twist. The Show also gives local singers and dancers a great opportunity to sing and dance to a lot of numbers that the audience will know and finishes with a chaotic finale. It’s full of hilarious sketches and fun for the audience.
First Half
Introduction Music
A rousing piece of music to get the audience in the right mood as the stage is quickly cleared of any Christmas decorations and made readyEngland/Finland Sketch
A couple of very short funny sketches one after the other from the musical Spamalot
Presenter’s welcome
The Presenter comes on stage to welcome the audience, have a few laughs and find out where they are from
Childrens’ Dance Group
The first appearance of youngsters from a Dance Group to dance to a medley of songs from the musical Grease
Taxi Sketch
A great sketch for three people featuring a hackney carriage taxi and one hilarious ride round London
Duet/Solo Singers
A chance for a duet or a solo singer to provide a number from a musical
Puppets
A boy puppet and a worm puppet sing ‘All by myself’ from Spamalot with the appearance of other parrots to emphasise that the boy is really NOT on his own
Starlight Express Sketch
A build up to the appearance of a roller skating Starlight Express train which crashes off stage
Grandma’s Letter and the Grandma Song
Grandma reads a hilarious letter to one of her grandchildren and is then joined on stage by the cast dressed as children who sing ‘Grandma we love you’
Dance Group
A Group of adult dancers from a local Dance Company.This group can be Tap, Modern or Belly dancers (In the original Show Belly dancers appeared for the first time
Christmas Teddy Boys
3 or 4 Adult Christmas Teddy Boys do a very short march on and sing number
The Story of Snow White
Six chosen members of the audience act out the Story of Snow White in 4 minutes reading Cue Cards
Rain Routine
The Presenter leads the cast and audience as they go through a routine which sounds like its raining inside with a little help from sound and light
The Music Man
The cast and some audience members march round the Hall and do various actions to the Music Man
Second Half
Presenter
The Presenter goes through a clapping routine with the audience
Phantom Boat Song
The Phantom of the Opera and another cast member holding a puppet float across the stage in a boat as the music to the musical Phantom of the Opera is played. The movements get increasingly faster as the Phantom starts the outboard motor
Mr Mistoffelees
Behind a low curtain the young members of cast gradually pop up to the musical Cats’ song Mr Mistoffelees and the famous cat appears through the air
Childrens’ Dance Group
The second appearance of youngsters from a Dance Group to dance to another song form one of the musicals
Full Greased Lightning
The Presenter divides the audience in to two halves and each sing part of the Grease song Greased Lightning
Solo singer
Another chance for a solo singer to perform a number from one of the musicals
Adults’ Dance Group
A second chance to see a Group of adult dancers from a local Dance Company
Aluminium tubes
10 metre long slinky aluminium tubes are given to the audience to play with
12 Days of Christmas
A very loud version of the 12 Days of Christmas has the whole audience involved and jumping up and down
Sound of Music Sketch
A group of 7 adults dressed as children in nighties and pyjamas and known as The Von Tramp family sing ‘So long Farewell’ from The Sound of Music to the audience
Parrots
Parrot puppets perform a very, very quick version of ‘The Good the bad and the ugly’
Finale
All the cast come back for their bows and a chaotic finale as the audience play with huge balloons, aluminium tubes and a huge silky red curtain whilst the youngsters dance round toThe Conga

Thought it was even better than last year!...........Can I congratulate you and your team on an absolutely fantastic show, this year was the first we were able to get tickets and myself and my two kids are already looking forward to next year’s show!........................ Thanks again for a fantastic night which left a 5, 9 yr old children and a 37 yr old big kids giggling all the way home
